Quarantine Life: Day 63, Braun 10-in-1 Trimmer Review

Quarantine Life: Day 63, Braun 10-in-1 Trimmer Review

We finally got a chance over the weekend to use the Braun All-in-One Trimmer we bought at Costco. Grant’s hair was starting to grow out so it was the perfect opportunity to bust out the new trimmer and give it a whirl. I’ll have a separate post on the actual haircut. I’ll focus on the trimmer set here.

The basics: The set comes with a waterproof, cordless trimmer and a variety of combs and attachments. It also comes with a charging station and a soft bag. The trimmer is also rechargeable, washable and waterproof.

Having this new trimmer set made it exponentially easier to give a quarantine haircut compared to the old trimmer and single comb I had to work with for Grant’s first haircut. The comb guards were my safety net, letting me relax knowing that I wouldn’t accidentally cut his hair too short. The trimmer itself felt very comfortable in my hand and it was a snap switching the attachments as needed. Cleanup was also a breeze, thanks to an included cleaning brush.

Our main tip would be to make sure you start your haircut with a fully charged trimmer. You can fully charge the trimmer in one hour and you’ll get about 40 minutes of run time on it. On a full charge, Grant was able to do a 10-minute beard trim, in addition to the half-hour haircut I gave him. When the battery started dying, it started dying very quickly. It basically felt like it went from full power to barely a hum instantly. Hence our tip: Start with the haircut. You definitely don’t want to run out of juice with an unfinished haircut.

Overall, we’d definitely recommend this product. If you’re at home and in desperate need of a quarantine haircut, consider this all-in-one solution.

This daily blog post series is our way of sharing our experience with you, our readers. We’ll talk about our daily routines, adjustments to working from home, recipes based on limited ingredients and any other topic that comes to mind. It’s our way of connecting with the “outside” world, while also giving us the opportunity to look within and reflect on what we’re experiencing and how we’re feeling. Thanks for your interest in sharing this journey with us. Stay tuned and be well.
