Quarantine Life: Day 44, Shelter-in-Place Rules Eased
Six Bay Area counties and the city of Berkeley today officially announced that shelter-in-place orders will extend until May 31, as they alluded to earlier this week. The public health officers also announced that starting May 4 certain COVID-19 restrictions will be eased, such as allowing all construction to resume, as well as some outdoor businesses and activities. As long as social distancing protocols are followed, activities such as hiking and golfing will be allowed starting next week.
To be honest, even with social distancing practices, it’ll be a while before I feel safe or comfortable going back to the golf courses or any other places where there are likely to be a lot of people around. But, I do hope that this gradual return to normalcy will prove to be safe and prudent.
