Yesterday afternoon I found a lavender-colored envelope sticking out of my mailbox. I eagerly snatched it and saw that it was a letter from my new pen pal, Astrid from Germany. The first things I noticed were the beautiful vintage style block stamp on the front of the envelope, depicting an elegant woman adorned with post marks, and the old-fashioned bird stamp seal on the back of the envelope. Upon opening the envelope I found a lovely letter tied up neatly with violet ribbon and sealed with a label of my name. Also inside the envelope were several paper snowflakes! I've never been sent snow before!
