This past weekend was the first spell of rain we've had this season in San Francisco. And boy, did it mean business! It's not that it was heavy rain, but the combination of constant rainfall and pretty strong winds is enough to flip any umbrella inside-out. The nice thing about rainy weekends is the excuse to stay in. I love waking up in the morning to the sound of steady rainfall on my windowpane, and cuddling up with a cup of hot cocoa. It's the season to bring out warm slippers and cozy blankets, knitting projects and autumn cardigans. Autumn is here!
I think autumn might be my favorite season. You can walk anywhere without sweating up a storm or freezing your face off. You can pull out your favorite coats and knit hats, your best boots and softest scarves. Best of all, it's the perfect season to stay in and catch up on your reading list. For the next few weeks I'm reading: Murder Must Advertise by Dorothy Sayers, The Liar by Stephen Fry, and The Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton. It's a nice mix, I think. What's on your reading list?
