Well sort of. Pan's Labyrinth and The Orphanage writer and director Guillermo del Toro was in San Francisco last week to promote his newest vampire book The Fall. He was at the Kabuki Theater last Tuesday to talk about his new book and to sign copies for fans. I was supposed to go with my friend Rebecca but I had to back out at the last minute. Like a true friend, Rebecca went anyway and got Guillermo del Toro to sign a copy of his first novel for me. Rebecca said he was a very kind and engaging speaker. I wish I could have been there, but the next best thing is definitely getting an autographed and sketched copy of his book. Thanks again, Rebecca!
