As I mentioned in my last post, the letter-writing bug has bitten me. I really like the idea of hand-designed stationary. It gives a personal letter an extra special touch. I recently went into a local thrift shop and discovered that they sell little packets of vintage stamps for under a buck. I bought a packet of special edition stamps from Grenada, dating from the 70s and 80s.
I then used them to decorate my writing sheets. It's a lot of fun picking out the stamps you think your friend would particularly like. What I also love about my new stationary is that no two letters will ever look the same. Plus, it's like giving old stamps a new life. They could have traveled across oceans and over several continents to get to you, and now you can send them on another adventure.
