New records!

First of all, I have to say that I love records. Actual records, as in the honking huge vinyl records that your parents probably had. For my sixteenth birthday a few years ago, my parents bought me a vintage-style all-in-one record player, CD player and radio. I've inherited a few records from my parents and I collect a few whenever I find good bargains at thrift stores.

So today, my sister took a little excursion to Berkeley and brought me back a few treasures. She bought me:

The Carpenters: The Singles, 1969-1973
Tony Bennett's All-Time Greatest Hits

Barry Manilow's Greatest Hits
I was thrilled! I really am quite an incurable geek when it comes to taste in music. I would have loved to have gone to a Carpenters concert, and I'm still hoping to see Tony Bennett and Barry Manilow perform at least once in my lifetime. I like old records, so it makes sense that I like old music.
If you haven't heard of any of these people before...Well, I don't know what to say except that I recommend looking them up. With the Internet and Youtube and everything, there really is no good excuse not to!
