I got an Awe-summm award!

Yay! I just got my first blog award! Sarah from YOSH よし sent me the Awe-Summm Award. Thank you, Sarah. I hope you know you made my week!

The Awe-Sum Award rules: List 7 things that make you awe-sum and nominate 7 other blogs that you think rock.

Sarah actually sent it to me a few days ago, I just haven't had time to think about what 7 things I want to say about myself. Luckily, I just finished my finals today and I'm going to celebrate by posting my award and my 7 things. And, I sincerely hope I don't come off as sounding full of myself in any way.

So fasten your seat belts. Here we go:

1) I'm great at memorizing movie trivia and movie lines, especially from classic movies. My bedroom walls are covered with classic movie posters from around the world. FYI: I love anything Cary Grant, so I pretty much have had An Affair to Remember memorized since I was 12.

2) I kick butt at party games. I'm super competitive by nature, so I love playing team party games like Taboo, Scattergories, Charades, Pictionary, etc. Just be sure that if you're on my team, you're competitive too!

3) I guess you could say I'm pretty crafty. And just to clarify, I mean that I'm good at crafts--not that I'm sly or cunning. I sew, knit, crochet, needle point, scrapbook, etc. A lot of my spare change goes into craft-addiction.

This is Lola, a naughty little monkey I made.

4)  I am a good friend. Now, I'm not sure if you're allowed to call yourself a good friend or if your friend has to say that you're a good friend. In that case, I think and I hope that I'm a good friend. My only evidence to support this assertion is... my group of friends. The way I see it, if you manage to hang onto good friends, then it's probably because you are a good friend yourself. Right friends? Wow. I've never used "friend" so many times in one post before.

I've pretty much had the same best friends since elementary school, and I've also added a few good ones along the way. Ok. Maybe I'll change this #4 from "I am a good friend" to "I know how to keep good friends."
High school graduation

5) I have the daily special menu at Subway memorized. (Back where I come from, we don't have a lot of dining options). By the way, tomorrow is meatball marinara Tuesday.

6) I can fit in tiny spaces. I am a little girl, meaning I can crawl into small spaces and get away with paying a child's price for a movie ticket. I used to hate being short, but I have since learned to embrace it!

Fun times in my high school locker

7) I'm a great bargain hunter. From online textbook hunting to thrift shop browsing and sale rack rummaging to flea market haggling, I know my way around. If you ever want a shopping buddy, I'm your girl!

My family has been going to the San Jose Flea Market since before I was born. Check it out!

So there you have it. Now, for my nominees.

I nominate Tiffany at T-FOO, Steph at One Shade Gray, Karina at No Kid Can Roar, Rebecca at Joining Forces With Superman, David at Silver in SF, Mo at Fresh Eyes on London, and SF Girl By Bay. Go check their blogs out. They're awe-sum!
