My cousin Ryan was telling me about his friend who recently got married. She and her husband both lost their jobs in the last month and her mother-in-law just found out that she has cancer. To add to their troubles, their car got stolen. Ryan then suggested that they have a holiday lunch with all of their other friends to get her mind off of things. The friend replied that she doesn't have any money to go out for lunch, but she offered to cook hot dogs and rice for all of them. Ryan was really touched by this girl's gesture to give them the best of what she had left. Even after all of these misfortunes, she tries to keep positive by saying that at least they're all still together as a family for Christmas.
