I got to hang out with Karina and her friends Edward and David today. We took the 5 down to the de Young and saw the Dale Chihuly glass exhibit. To be honest, before yesterday, I didn't even know who Dale Chihuly was. I looked him up online and found out that he was this amazing glass blowing artist. Actually, the ceiling of the Bellagio Hotel lobby was his work. Needless to say, his exhibit at the de Young was awesome! The way the pieces are presented and lit are breathtaking.
After that, we walked down to Geary so I could pick up my sleeping bag from Uncle Bob. After that, we walked a couple of blocks down to Quickly on Clement for boba. I'm pretty upset. I used to be able to get my usual large milk tea with small tapioca for only $2.16. Now it's $2.76. I'm pissed.
Then, we headed to Eva's Hawaiian Cafe and I had a "mini" plate of chicken katsu, which in reality, was HUGE! They gave me about 20 pieces of chicken. Plus, I had a special card for a free masubi with entree purchase. So, for $8 (including tax and tip) I got a huge plate of chicken katsu and rice, macaroni salad, and a spam masubi. Not bad. Not bad at all.
Afterwards, we all just went back to my room and hung out for a bit. All in all, a pretty good day.
