Blue Angels Fleet Week- San Francisco 2010

Fleet Week, honoring men and women in the armed services, has been a San Francisco tradition since 1981. A fleet of military ships dock in the bay for locals and tourists alike to see. The highlight of the week is always the air show by the Blue Angels, an elite U.S. Navy demonstration aerobatics squadron. They are famous for their daring barrel rolls, sudden dives, and close side-by-side passes.

The full air show will be on Saturday and Sunday, 1 p.m.- 4 p.m. For the best views go to the Marina or Pier 39.

I was lucky enough to watch and shoot this video of the rehearsal show today from a boat on the bay.
