Sunset Over San Francisco
Every year, a group of us gets together to climb the iconic towers of
St. Ignatius Church. It's the heart of our campus and climbing to the top of one of the twin towers is always a highlight of the year. Saint Ignatius Church was opened in 1914 and was the largest church west of the Mississippi when it was built. It's quite beautiful. I am definitely getting married here.
Anyway, back to the tower tour. After climbing over 300 steps up a narrow spiral staircase, the views from the top of the 220-foot vista are amazing! To the south you can see Twin Peaks, to the east is the downtown skyline, to the north is the Golden Gate Bridge, and to the east is the pacific sunset.

It's a tradition to write your name on the door once you reach the top. |
I even found my signature from two years ago. |
This is one of my favorite drawings on the inside of the tower. |
To the south is Twin Peaks. |
To the east (ish) is the city. |

To the east is the second tower and the sunset. |
