For our staff retreat this semester we all went down to watch Beach Blanket Babylon in North Beach, which is a musical comedy.


The show was amazing and I still can't get the songs out of my head. I'll have " Mambo Italiano" stuck in my head for the rest of the night!


Afterward Michelle, An-Nhien, Rita and I ate dinner at Tratorria Pinnochio. It's a cute little Italian eatery with a very friendly staff.

I had a salad and a plate of gniocchi. Both were delicious.

My friends even had the staff surprise me with a birthday lemon sorbet! They wrote "Happy Birthday" around the rim of the plate in chocolate. I wonder if other people scrape the chocolate off too...

I guess we were super hungry tonight because we went to Caffe Puccini for dessert. I ordered a small mocha and a slice of tiramisu. The subtotal was around $8. It was a bit pricey, but good.
